The Illinois QSO party is next weekend. I hope to be able to make it home in time to have a run at it again this year. Last year I activated K-1029 Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park from the county line picnic area to work both Jefferson and Franklin counties. I had a slow start, but a great time. I would love to do the same again this year, but I might get back just a day or two before it starts, so I might be a bit jet lagged from living on the other side of the planet for the last few months. It might also be a shock going from 120+ degree days to an Illinois fall. Maybe I’ll work this one from the comfort of my own home this year 🙂
